Antique Marcasite Embossed Brass Flower Leaf pin brooch 1930s

A beautiful flower and leaf brooch from the 1930s. It has an open cut design and measures 2 1/8 inches in diameter. The silvertone leaf is encrusted with faux marcasites (which are indented in the metal and faceted to provide sparkle; they look like the reverse image of steel cut marcasites) and secured to the brass portion using a rivet. Brooch is in very good vintage condition.
